Uricol

URICOl is a multifunctional formulation combining three active ingredients, each complementing the other wi1h potent urinary antiseptic, antispasmodic and anlililhic effects. Hexamine, the first il1!)redienl in URICOL, is an antiseptic that prevents and treats urinary tract infections and asymptomatic bactenuria. In acidic urine, hexamine is hydrolyzed to formaldehyde which exerts potent antimicrobial effect against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria and fungi. Hexamine is safe for lOng-term use and no emergence of resistance occurs. Piperazine citrate, the second ingredient in URICO’L, adjusts the pH of urine to the appropriate value that helps dissolve uric acid and prevents formation and deposition of urate calculi. Khellin, the third ingredient in
URICOL, is a powerful antispasmodic that relieves urinary smooth muscle spasm and hypermotility associated with infection, diagnostic procedures or irritations due to calculi. These properties demonstrate the superior antiseptic effects of URICOL and its h~h efficacy in relievir19 and overcoming urinary tract spasm, and reventing formation and deposition of unnary calculi. FormulatIOn of URICOL in single dose (5 g) sachets, ensures pleasant taste and rapid absorption with fast onset of action.
